Louie Randall "Randy" Mangum



Ruby, SC ~ Mr. Louie Randall “Randy” Mangum, age 71, died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at McLeod Health-Cheraw. He was born December 11, 1945 in Monroe, NC, a son of the late John Campbell “J.C.” Mangum and Grace Lee Nicholson Mangum and was the husband of the late Mildred Kimmer Mangum. He retired from Springs Industries – Lancaster Plant and was a member of Clanton Plains Baptist Church in Chesterfield.
Mr. Mangum is survived by his special friend, Carol Hancock; two sons, John H. Mangum and his wife, Tina of Heath Springs and Christopher Randall Mangum and his wife, Gulbin of Chesterfield; a daughter in law, Julie Outen; a sister, Jan Harris and her husband, Edward of Edgemoor, SC; five grandchildren, Kristi Michelle Mangum, Leanne Mangum, Brian Mangum, Dylan Mangum and Leyla Bledsoe; and five great grandchildren, Brieanna Wilson, Farrah Price, Chelsea Price, Landon McManus and Braylyn Mangum.
Mr. Mangum was preceded in death by a son, William Randall Mangum; six brothers, Darrell Mangum, Sammie Mangum, Larry Mangum, Jimmy Mangum, Tony Mangum and Jerry Mangum; three sisters, Rachel Jordan, Dianne Mangum and Wanda Robinson; and two grandchildren, William F. Mangum and Justin D. Mangum.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Mangum will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Donald Wallace. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 - 3:00, at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
