LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Mrs. Willie Stogner Cauthen, age 92, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at White Oak Manor. She was born March 25, 1920 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Barkley McCoy Stogner and Flonnie Anne Carnes Stogner and was the wife of the late William Melvin Cauthen. Mrs. Cauthen retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Eastern Star #286. She was a very active member of Camp Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Cauthen is survived by a son, Larry Gene Cauthen and his wife Joye of Matthews, NC, a brother, James Brown Stogner of Lancaster, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Cauthen was preceded in death by two sons, William Barkley "Bill" Cauthen and Danny Morris Cauthen and a brother, William McCoy "Billy" Stogner.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Cauthen will be 11:00 am, Monday, November 26, 2012 at Camp Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Mellichamp and Rev. Don Waldrop with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Family of Mrs. Cauthen will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Sunday evening, November 25, 2012 at Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 222 South Church Street, Suite 336M, Charlotte, NC 28202 or Camp Creek Baptist Church, 998 Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
