LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mr. William Eugene White, age 87, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his home. He was born February 21, 1928 in Lancaster County, a son of the late Lester Edward White and Ila Elizabeth Harper White. Mr. White was first married to the late Thelma Grace Beckham White and later to Etta Mae Steele White. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 26 years and was a member of Oakridge ARP Church.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Etta Mae Steele White of the home; a son, George R. "Randy" White and his wife, Peggy of Lancaster; two daughters, Beverly Carol Mills and her husband, Fred of Lancaster and Janice Lynn White of Seneca; his adopted daughter, Judy Hozey also of Seneca; a brother, James Edward White of Lancaster; two sisters, Leila Ann Smith and her husband, Douglas of Lancaster and Emma Elizabeth Knight and her husband, Jim of Surfside Beach; three grandchildren, Brian Matthew Phillips and his wife, Noelle of Irmo, Jason Neal White and his wife, Jessica of Gilbert and Ginger Patterson and her husband, Bobby of Lexington; and four great grandchildren, Falyn Reese White, Erin Munn, Connor Patterson and Matthew Phillips.

Mr. White personally requested there be no funeral service for him and his family is honoring that request.
