KERSHAW, SC:::::::::::Mr. William Stevens, age 79, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Kershaw Health in Camden. He was born January 11, 1936 in Kershaw, the son of the late Heyward Stevens and Lola Morgan Stevens and was the husband of Mildred Faile Stevens. Mr. Stevens retired from Spring Industries - Kershaw Plant and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife, Mildred Faile Stevens of the home; one son, Danny William Stevens (Deb) of Jefferson; two grandchildren, Tonya (Rusty) Chapman of Jefferson and Stephanie Stevens of Heath Springs, two step grandchildren, Wayne Faile (Emma) and Michael Faile both of Columbia; sisters, Emily Sowell (David) and Betty Sue Price both of Kershaw; six great grandchildren, McKenzie Chapman, Taylor Chapman, Nick Parker, Mason Parker, Evan Parker and Tessa Parker.

Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Kim Stevens, his previous wife, Jennie Eubanks Stevens, two brothers, Edward Lee Stevens and Fred Stevens and three sisters, Edith Mae Stevens, Virgie Mae Stevens and Frances Stevens Hinson.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Stevens will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Kershaw City Cemetery by Rev. Ronnie Owens and Rev. Odell Sullivan.

The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00pm Friday evening, May 15, 2015 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Midlands Center, 8301 Farrow Road, Columbia SC 29203.
