LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. William Patton (Pat) Smith, age 70, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at his home.  He was born December 21, 1948, a son of the late Jesse Lee Smith and Betty Ann Pate Smith.  Mr. Smith loved his dog, Baby Girl, fishing and watching old movies and westerns.  He retired from Northern Tool and was a hard worker all of his life.

Mr. Smith is survived by a daughter, Patti Smith Gomez and her husband, Benito of Rock Hill; two grandchildren, Juan Miguel Lara and Marco Antonio Lara; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Kathleen Kittle Lara and Elizabeth Kay Lara; four brothers, Edward Lee Smith of Lancaster, Roger Steven Smith of Fort Mill, Jesse Lee Smith, Jr. of Rock Hill; and three sisters, Betty Jean Smith Hensley of Rock Hill, Barbara Ann Smith Martin of Canyon, TX, and Sheila Marie Smith Blackwell of Fort Mill.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by wife, Linda Waits Smith; two daughters, Pamela Charlene Smith and Angela Melinda Smith; his parents; three brothers, Luther Donnie Smith, Ronald Dean Smith, and Mitchell Wayne Smith; and a sister, Janie Elizabeth Smith Blackwell.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Smith will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 23, 2019 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC.
