BLACKSTOCK, SC ~ Mr. William Brice "Bunk" Sanders, Sr., age 61, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Wayne T. Patrick House in Rock Hill, SC.  He was born on September 6, 1957 in Chester, SC, the son of the late Joe Curtis Sanders and Lottie Hunter Sanders and was the husband of Cathy Carter Sanders.  He was a Rigging and Millwright Supervisor with AME Inc. in Fort Mill, SC. Bunk loved his family, especially his sons and grandchildren.  He enjoyed riding his Harley, supervising Cathy's garden work, talking on the phone, camping and sitting on the front porch watching the trains.

Bunk is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cathy Sanders; three sons, Chris Carter and his wife, Christy, of Fort Lawn, SC, William Brice Sanders, Jr. of Blackstock, SC, and Jason Sanders and his wife, Jennifer, of Great Falls, SC; three grandchildren, Catie Lou Carter, Jacqueline Latislaw and Jimmy Thornton; two brothers, Joe Sanders and his wife, Janet, and Gene Sanders, all of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Rene' Jordan and her husband, Thomas, of Fort Lawn, SC; two brothers-in-law, Eric Carter and Lee  Carter and his wife, Tina, all of Lancaster.

Bunk was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Brenda Knight.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Sanders will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Blackstock Presbyterian Church Cemetery officiated by Mr. Jimbo Mobley.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Blackstock Presbyterian Church and suggest memorial contributions be made to Blackstock Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Wilber Douglas, 2148 Old Chester Road, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
