LANCASTER, SC – Mr. William Harold Robinson passed away on April 19, 2025 at Agape Hospice House of Lexington after a long battle with dementia. William was born February 17, 1947, to Samuel Harold Robinson and Brennie Huey Robinson.

After graduating from Buford High School and Nashville Auto Diesel College, William married his best friend, Brenda Walters Robinson. In 1967, William was drafted into the United States Army where he served proudly during the Vietnam War. After returning home, William worked as a supervisor at Springs Industries in the transportation department. After retirement, William enjoyed restoring Volkswagens, camping and trout fishing in the mountains.

William was a special PopPop to his grandchildren who he loved very much, and a loving caregiver to his cat, Ruby. William was a lifelong member of Unity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

Mr. William Robinson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Brenda Walters Robinson; his daughter, Tonya Robinson Rape and her husband, Shannon; his son, William Darin Robinson and his wife, Terri; his grandchildren, Aubree Layne Rape, William Michael Rape, Kayleigh Blair Robinson and Avery Elizabeth Robinson; and his sister-in-law, Vicki Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Harold and Brennie Huey Robinson; his brother, Dennis Grier Robinson; and his sister, Brenda Robinson Manuma.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for William will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Unity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Charles Hammond and Rev. Bob Robinson. Burial with military honors will be held following the service in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, the family suggest, memorial contributions may be made to Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or Unity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 3495 Unity Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

William Harold Robinson was a kind and gentle man who will always be loved and always be remembered.
