INDIAN LAND, SC ~ It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Withers Robertson, Jr., age 57, who entered into rest on January 11, 2026, in Lancaster, South Carolina.

Born on November 18, 1968, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Bill was the cherished son of Barbara Colette Zimmerman and the late William W. Robertson, Sr. A man who embraced the simple joys of life, Bill was known for his infectious spirit, his love for his family, and the freedom he felt while riding his motorcycles. He lived with a rare perspective, reminding those around him not to take life's burdens too seriously. A man of the Catholic faith, his legacy is one of resourcefulness, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.

Bill's memory will be forever held in the hearts of his mother, Barbara Zimmerman; his sisters, Barbara Richmond of Indian Land and Jessie Wilt (Bill) of Madison, NJ; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Grace Bourgeois (Brinden), Robert Richmond, Kathryn Wilt, Jack Wilt, and Madeline Wilt. He was preceded in death by his father, William W. Robertson, Sr.

The family will receive friends to honor Bill's life during a visitation from 12:00 noon pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Burgess Funeral Home and Crematory in Lancaster, SC. Following the visitation, the family invites all who knew him to join them for a commemorative dinner; the specific location will be shared during the service.  Inurnment will be at Saint Peters Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
