LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. William "Bill" Franklin Rainwater, age 88, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Lancaster Convalescent Center. He was born August 19, 1924 in Cheraw, SC, the son of the late Franklin Pierce Rainwater and Jessie Eleanor Belk Rainwater was the husband of Marilyn DeHay Rainwater. Mr. Rainwater was the owner and operator of the former Rainwater Furniture which sold to Kimbrell's Furniture and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was also a lifetime member of Jackson Masonic Lodge, a member of the Catawba Lions Club and served our great country in the United States Army - Air Force during World War II.

Mr. Rainwater is survived by his wife, Marilyn D. Rainwater, a son, James "Jim" Pierce Rainwater of Florence, SC, a daughter, Anne Elizabeth Strange and her husband Warren of Birmingham, AL, 2 sisters, Mary Pierce Parker of Sumter, and Julia Logue of Greenville, SC and his former wife, Ethel Furr Rainwater of Florence, SC.

Mr. Rainwater was preceded in death by a son, William F. Rainwater, Jr. and 2 sisters, Eleanor Havard and Agnes Copeland.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Rainwater will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 9, 2013 at First United Methodist Church by Rev. Charles Phillips. Burial will follow at St. David's Cemetery in Cheraw, SC.

The Family of Mr. Rainwater will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral in the Parlor of First United Methodist Church and suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 608, Lancaster, SC 29721.
