LANCASTER, SC – Mr. William Herbert Threatt, Jr, age 82, passed away Friday July 12, 2024. He was born November 19, 1941, in Rock Hill, SC, a son of the late William Herbert Threatt, Sr. and Louise Whitaker Threatt and was the loving husband of the late Sarah Pauline Taylor Threatt. Mr. William enjoyed sitting in his recliner watching TV. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and traveling. Mr. William enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Shiloh ARP Church where he cherished his church family and going out to eat with his church friends.

Mr. William is survived by his son, William Dowdy; two daughters, Susan McMinn, and Rhonda Crimminger; six grandchildren, Angie Caskey (Adrian), Dell Williams (Hollie), Brittany Jackson (Neil), Keith Crimminger, Chase Dowdy, and Kendall Dowdy; six great-grandchildren, Taylor Cook (Pablo Blas), Baylee Caskey, Aiden Jackson, J.J. Jackson, Simon Jackson, and Gabrielle Blythe; and a large extended family and friends.

Mr. William was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Threatt; his daughter, Sarah Lynn Cook; and his great-grandchild, Harley Cook.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. William will be 11:00 am Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Shiloh ARP Church officiated by Rev. Dean Franklin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh ARP Church, 346 Shiloh Unity Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
