INDIAN LAND, SC ~ Mr. William "Bill" Thomas Jackson, age 75, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at his home. He was born on December 24, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Samuel Henry Jackson and Dorothy Mae Churn Jackson and was the husband of Margaret "Peggy" Ellen Knopf Jackson. Mr. Jackson enjoyed the outdoors, loved spending time with his family and friends, and was very active on several committees at Sun City Carolina Lakes. He was a devoted member of Weddington United Methodist Church.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Jackson; a son, Keith Jackson (Caroline); a daughter, Wendy Hussey (Robert); two brothers, Samuel Jackson and John Jackson (Carolyn); six grandchildren, David Jackson, Erin Jackson, Paige Jackson, Melanie Hussey, Joseph Hussey, and Claire Hussey; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Caroline Jackson; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Jackson.
The Celebration of Life and Faith Memorial Service for Mr. Jackson will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Weddington United Methodist Church, 13901 Providence Rd, Weddington, NC 28104 officiated by Rev. Dr. Terry Moore and Rev. Ed Briggs.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
