LANCASTER, SC – Mr. William Gene Ford, Sr., age 91, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025. He was born October 22, 1933 in Akron, OH, son of the late Dayton Dalton Ford and the late Dolah Rice Ford and was the husband of the late Raye Anne Reno Ford. Mr. Ford was a proud US Navy Korean War Veteran. He loved horses, raising chickens and cows and was a farmer at heart. He also enjoyed gardening, reading the newspaper, eating Chinese food, and spending time with his dog, "Little Bit". Mr. Ford was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Mr. Ford is survived by four sons, William Gene Ford, Jr. of Indian Land, SC , Michael Oborne (Kristyn) of Marble, NC, Stephen Oborne of Wyandotte, MI, Robert Oborne (Diane) of Colonial Beach, VA; two daughters, Patricia Lemaster (Bob) of Warren, OH and Sarah Ott (Lowell) of Lancaster, SC; twenty-five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and brother, Jack Ford (Pam) of Akron, OH.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Sandra Ford and Raye Anne Ford; two sons, Ronald Ford and Mark Ford; three daughters, Cynthia Ford, Jeanie Ford and Sandra Ford; his parents; brother, Dayton Ford; three sisters, Virginia Ford, Ruth Ford, and Darlene Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Sandi Oborne.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Ford will be 3:00 pm Thursday, June 19, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.
