LANCASTER, SCMr. William Will Cowles Burleson, age 16, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his home. He was born August 18, 1999 in Charlotte, NC, the son of Steven Ray Burleson and Michelle Vick Radford. Will was a student with James Madison High School. He was very artistic and enjoyed playing bass, his guitar, writing songs and music. He loved to ride his four wheeler, skateboarding and just being outdoors. He was an animal lover, especially cats and his dog, Jerry. He deeply loved his brothers, Luke and Coley and his sister, Emme.
Will is survived by his parents, Steven Ray Burleson; his mother, Michelle Vick Radford of Belleville, IL; two brothers, Luke Burleson and Coley Burleson, his sister, Emme Burleson, his paternal grandmother, Martha Lee Burleson of Charlotte, and his maternal grandparents, Pat Wyrick and James Long of Pineville.
Will was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ray Burleson and his maternal grandfather, Herman Vick.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Will is 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Oak Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Cliff Henson. Burial will follow in the Burleson Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm Friday evening, March 4, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC and suggest memorial contributions be made to the Lancaster SPCA, PO Box 3042, Lancaster, SC 29721.
