Kershaw, SC ~ Mr. William Melvin Shorty Bryson, age 64, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. He was born October 1, 1953 in Orangeburg, SC, the son of the late George William G.W. Powers and Mildred Bryson Powers and the husband of Deborah Debbie Griffin Bryson. He was employed with J & S Inc. for 21 years. Mr. Bryson loved his children, grandchildren, and dogs, especially Killer. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved going to flea markets. Mr. Bryson enjoyed working on old cars, racing, boating and camping. Mr. Bryson was of the Christian faith.

Mr. Bryson is survived by his wife, Deborah Debbie Bryson; three sons, Timmy William Bryson (Amanda), Kenneth Scott Bryson (Ivette) and Phillip James Bryson (Melissa); a daughter, Michelle Bryson Crawford (Javario); a step-son, Casey Britt (Angie); a step-daughter, Stephani Britt; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
