LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. William Edward "Eddie" Brasington, age 69, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center-Rock Hill, SC.  He was born January 17, 1950 in Lancaster, the son of the late Edward C. Brasington and Eddie Mae Cauthen and was the husband of Rhonda Wright Brasington.  Mr. Brasington was a great mechanic who could fix anything.  He also enjoyed welding and building grills and trailers.  Mr. Brasington loved children and always had chewing gum available to any who asked for it.  He was a very active member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, choir member, and RA teacher.

Mr. Brasington is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rhonda Brasington; a son, Scott Brasington (Sharon) of Kershaw, SC; a daughter, Stephanie Sampson (John) of Easley, SC; three grandchildren, Adam Truesdale (Leann), Alicia Brown, Cheyenne Sampson; five great grandchildren, Allison Brown, Collin Brown, Caeley Truesdale, Cameren Truesdale, and Emma Truesdale; a sister, Julie Hayes (Willie); many nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Marie Killian.

Mr. Brasington was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frankie Brasington.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Brasington will be 11:00 am, Monday, July 15, 2019 at Oak Hill Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Cliff Henson and Rev. Marty Roberts.  The family will receive friends following the service in the church sanctuary.
