LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. William Lewis Billy Wright, age 74, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville. He was born July 8, 1941 in Lancaster County, a son of the late Wesley Junior Wright and Virginia Bowers Wright Horne and was the husband of Carolyn Mathis Wright. Mr. Wright retired from Bowater after 35 years of service and was co-owner of Do It Printing Company. He enjoyed deer hunting, going to the beach, and loved flounder fishing with his son-in-law, Jeff. He was a loving and cherished husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughters, to which he was known as Papaw Bill. He was an avid gamecock fan and was a longtime member of the Gamecock Club. Mr. Wright was a Mason with Jackson Lodge and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Mathis Wright; a daughter, Kim Wright Adams and her husband, Jeff of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Lindsay Nicole Adams and Carley Brooke Adams and a brother, David Wright and his companion, Beverly Wright of Chester.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Wright will be 3:00 pm Wednesday afternoon, February 3, 2016 at St. Luke United Methodist Church by Rev. Bill McCown and Rev. Dr. Eddie Usher. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor and suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
