LANCASTER, SC.........Mr. William Monroe "Bill" Hudson, age 69, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at his home. He was born March 18, 1946 in Richmond County, NC, a son of the late William Clyde Hudson and Novella Fulp Hudson Melton and was the husband of Judy Fowler Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a self- employed contractor and electrician and was the co-owner of B & R Construction, KBK Electronics and Cherry Grove Beach Houses. He enjoyed fishing and cruising but deeply loved his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a "Happy" person that loved life and was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife, Judy Fowler Hudson; two sons, Geoffrey C. Hudson and his wife, Jennifer of Lancaster and Darren K. Hudson and his wife, Heather of Little River; a brother, George Dan Hudson of Lancaster; a sister, Janice Hudson Mathis and her husband, Rick of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Will Hudson, Adam Hudson, Joey Hudson, Kyle Hudson and Cole Hudson; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by a daughter, Nannate Alisha Hudson.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Hudson will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church by Rev. Jessie Adams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday evening, November 9, 2015 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, and suggest memorial contributions be made to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, Freedom Fund, 133 S. Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
