LANCASTER, SC::::::::::Mr. William Thomas Beckham, age 78, of 1890 Jenna Lane, died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his home. He was born July 29, 1931 in Lancaster, the son of the late Hazel Beckham and Connie Ghent Beckham and was the husband of Lois Robinson Beckham. Mr. Beckham retired from Springs Industries - Lancaster Plant, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he previously served as Deacon and served our great country in the United States Army. Mr. Beckham is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois Robinson Beckham of the home, a daughter, Debra Jean Sims of Lancaster, two brothers, Joe Beckham of Lancaster and John Beckham of Heath Springs, a sister, Mary Garland of Lancaster, two grandchildren, Jennie and Scott Sims and two great grandchildren, Michael Robinson and Cheyenne Sims. Mr. Beckham was preceded in death by a son, Steven Thomas Beckham.The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Beckham will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Batman and Rev. Wayne Snipes. The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 -3:00pm in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 100 Barron Boulevard, Lancaster, SC 29720.
