LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mr. Wilbert Lee Lloyd, age 79, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Carolinas Health Care Hospital in Charlotte. He was born January 17, 1937 in Lancaster, SC, a son of the late Julius Brown Loyd and the late Nellie Lucas Loyd. Mr. Lloyd retired from the United States Navy where he served our great country during the Vietnam War. Mr. Lloyd loved country music, was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Mr. Lloyd is survived by his former wife, Jeanette Lloyd and her fianc, Paul Medley; a son, Joshua Josh Lloyd of Lancaster; two daughters, Crystal Annette Lloyd of Lancaster, SC and Monica Lloyd Lathan and her husband, Robert of Monroe, NC; three brothers, Roger Lloyd and his wife, Joyce, George Lloyd, and William Bill Lloyd and his wife, Jean; a sister, Judy Cooper and her husband, Jimmy; six grandchildren, Cody Rutledge, Danielle Lathan, Nicole Lathan, Brandon Lathan and Tabytha Thompson; and one great grandchild, Tristan Maney.

Mr. Lloyd was preceded in death by two brothers, James Lloyd and Robert Lloyd; and a sister, Bertha Lloyd Richardson.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Lloyd will be 2:00 pm, Monday, April 11, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Cliff Henson. Burial will follow at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The Family will receive friends Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Burgess Funeral Home 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC and at other times at the home of Jeanette Lloyd, 3991 Cimmeron Rd, Lancaster.
