LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Wendell Joe Connor, age 54, of 509 Oxford Place, died Saturday, January 9, 2010. He was born May 21, 1955 in Greenville, SC, the son of Earl T. Connor and Mary Cox Connor and was the husband of Elaine Turner Connor. Mr. Connor graduated from York Technical College with a degree in Electronics. He worked in Quality Control with Continental General Tire before retiring, and was a member of Good News Outreach Church.Mr. Connor is survived by his wife, Elaine Turner Connor of the home, his parents, Earl T. and Mary Connor of Lancaster, two daughters, Jennifer Connor of Greenville, SC and Anna Connor of the home, and two brothers, Mark Connor and his wife Jewel of Blythewood, SC and Doug Connor of Townville, SC.Mr. Connor was preceded in death by a son, Wendell Lee Connor.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Connor will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Pastor Brian Barton with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday evening, January 12, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Good News Outreach Church Building Fund, c/o Pastor Brian Barton, 181 Dixie School Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
