LANCASTER, SC ~ Wayne "Mule Skinner" Steele, age 67, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at his home.  He was born March 19, 1952 a son of the late Reese A. Steele and Rosa Lee Carnes Steele and was the devoted husband of JoAnn Baker Steele. Wayne was a simple man who loved his family.

Wayne is survived by his soulmate and wife of 43 years, JoAnn; a son, Shawn Wayne Steele (Ginger); a daughter, Alicia Hall (Phillip); and six grandchildren, Hank Thompson, Jasmine Hall, Jordan Hall, Calista Steele, Mason Steele, and Matthew Steele.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandchildren, Creigan Steele and Jessie Hall.

The family will hold a private burial service.
