LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Wayne Wilson Smith, age 82, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024. He was born November 12, 1941, in Concord, NC, son of the late Woodrow Wilson Smith and Lillian Belzora Hinson Smith and was the husband of the late Vena May Smith. Mr. Smith loved arrowhead hunting and anything related to Indians, also enjoyed collecting coins and knifes. He was an outdoorsman and loved raising his chickens. Mr. Smith proudly served his country in the United States Navy and loved his job as a pipe welder. He was also a Mason.

Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Lois Faile (Scotty); stepson, Stephen Clyburn; stepdaughter, Renee Amerson (Donald Taylor); grandchildren, Matthew Faile (Savanna) and Bobby Wallace; step grandchildren, Stephen Clyburn, Jr., Shannon Amerson, Justin Processer (Jody), Kayla Sullivan (Andy), Charles Wallace, Jr., Dougie Amerson (Breanna), and Katie Amerson; and great grandchildren, Lacie Faile, Arianna Roberts, Jayden Roberts, Chance Wallace, and Remi Wallace.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vena May Smith; his parents; step grandchild, Lucas Amerson; and great grandchild, Harmony Wallace.
