LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Wayne Sims, age 67, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born April 9, 1945 in Rock Hill, the son of the late John J. Sims and Lydia Sellers Sims and was the husband of Betty Sue Duncan Sims. Mr. Sims was a retired salesman, a Mason with Wannamaker Lodge, and a Shriner. Mr. Sims is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Sims of the home, 2 sons, Nicholas Daniel Sims and David Wayne Sims, Jr. both of Lancaster, a brother, Roger Sims and his wife Linda and a sister, Patricia Faile both of Lancaster, and 2 grandchildren, Austin Wayne Sims and Iva Caroline Sims. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Sims will be 5:00 pm Friday, September 28, 2012 at The Chapel of Hartley Burgess Funeral Home. The Family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 pm Friday, September 28, 2012 at Hartley Burgess Funeral Home and in lieu of flowers suggest memorials be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 3734 Heyward Hough Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
