LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Vickie Anita Ray Harris, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. She was born on December 5, 1951, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Ray and the late Irene Mary Mangum Ray and was the loving wife of William Thomas “Tommy” Harris.

Vickie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished her children and grandchildren dearly and had a special love for animals, especially dogs. Vickie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Vickie is lovingly survived by her husband, Tommy Harris; her children, Don Pelfrey (Tracie), Tammy Bumgarner (Ray), Kimberly Glover (Jeff), Jeremy Vinson (Lisa), and William Thomas “Tommy” Harris, Jr; her fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many other special family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Celeste Vinson; her parents, Thomas and Mary Ray; and her two sisters, Brenda Steele, and Teresa Redford.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Vickie will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 5, 2026, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at Burgess Funeral Home.
