LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mrs. Vickie Arant Beatty, age 62, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was born March 15, 1951 in Union County, NC the daughter of the late Ben Carl Arant and Myrtle Laney Arant and was the wife of the late Jerry Lynn Beatty. Mrs. Beatty was a retired homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Beatty is survived by 2 daughters, Christi Mills and her husband Daniel and Traci Cauthen and her husband Ricky both of Lancaster, a step son, Mark Beatty and his wife April of Lancaster, a step daughter, Teresa Hurst and her husband Rhett of Clover, 2 sisters, Frances Estridge and Margaret Jo Taylor both of Lancaster and 7 grandchildren.
Mrs. Beatty was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Marlowe and a brother, Carl Laney Arant.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Beatty will be 3:00 pm, Friday, January 3, 2014 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Doug Taylor. Burial will follow at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Family of Mrs. Beatty will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday January 2, 2014 at Burgess Funeral Home and other times at the home of Christi and Daniel Mills. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, Youth Fund in Honor of Delores Snipes, 133 S. Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
