ROCK HILL, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Vera Anderson Hinson, age 91, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014. She was born October 16, 1922 in Lyons, Georgia, the daughter of the late Ernest Anderson and Susan James Anderson and was the wife of the late Jack Hinson. Mrs. Hinson retired from Springs Industries and was a member of First Baptist Church of Rock Hill.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by a daughter, Linda Haymans of Fort Mill, a son, Kenneth Hinson and his wife Barbara of Titusville, FL, a son in law, Richard Baker of Rock Hill, two brothers, Ralph Anderson and his wife Betty of Camden, SC and Rev. Louie Anderson and his wife Jeanette of Aiken, SC, a sister, Kathleen Young of Cassett, eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hinson was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Baker and five brothers, Charles Anderson, Robert Anderson, Carl Anderson, Fred Anderson and Roy Anderson.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hinson will be 2:00 pm, Friday, January 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Rock Hill by Rev. Steve Hogg, Rev. Louie Anderson and Rev. David Bump. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mrs. Hinson will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday evening, January 16, 2014 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and suggest memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Rock Hill Building Fund, 481 Hood Center Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29730 or Agape Senior Foundation, 1053 Center Street, West Columbia, SC 29169.

The Family will meet at the home of Richard Baker, 640 Southwinds Court, Rock Hill.
