LANCASTER SC ::::::::::: Vanessa A. Koss, age 21, of 1809 Millwood Road, died April 6, 2011 at Springs Memorial Hospital. Miss Koss was born June 6, 1989 in Johnstown, PA, the daughter of Stephen M. Koss and Michele Cocho Koss. Miss Koss was a senior at Lancaster High School, loved football, riding in the convertible, swimming and taking walks and was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church. Miss Koss is survived by her parents, Stephen and Michele Koss of the home, a sister, Kelsey Koss, 2 brothers, Bailey Koss and Stephen Koss all of the home, an aunt, Melissa Tanner and her husband Will of Lancaster, an uncle, Michael Cocho and his wife April of PA, maternal grandparents, Michael and Mary Ellen Cocho of PA, paternal grandparents, Stephen and Twila Koss of Lancaster, paternal great grandmothers; Esther Koss and Catherine Isaacson both of PA. The Mass of Christian Burial for Miss Koss will be 11:00 am Friday, April 8, 2011 at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father David A. Runnion officiating. Cremation will follow. The Family of Miss Koss will hold a Vigil Service at 6:00 pm Thursday at the Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home with visitation to follow from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials made to Lancaster High School, for the Benefit of the PMD Class, 617 Normandy Road, Lancaster SC 29720.
