LANCASTER, SC ~ Tyler Dean Carter, 24, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, February 12, 2018. He was born August 2, 1993 in Lancaster, the son of Chris Carter and Christy Kos Carter. Tyler attended Carolina Christian Academy and was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. He loved his job at Edgewater Golf Course and was later employed at Gerdau Ameristeel Corporation. Tyler attended the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach. He loved fishing, golfing, hunting and playing guitar. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his rescue dogs, Daisy and Delilah. Tyler loved spending time with his family and many friends. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Chris and Christy Carter; and his paternal grandparents, Nancy B. Hinson and Stephen D. Butch Carter; and his maternal grandparents, Tim and Dolly Jo Hinson all of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mike Hinson and Jimmy Kos.
The Celebration of Tylers Life will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 16, 2018 at Second Baptist Church by Dr. Brian Saxon. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 pm Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Second Baptist Church, Global Harvest or Celebrate Recovery, 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
