LANCASTER, SC::::::Mr. Tryon Keith Pate, age 71, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Magnolia Manor in Rock Hill. He was born November 3, 1944 in Lancaster, a son of the late Rufus Palmer Pate and Zule Catoe Pate and was the husband of the late Billie Ann Shehane Pate. Mr. Pate previously worked for Springs Industries and was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing and playing golf.

Mr. Pate is survived by five daughters, Angie Holland and her husband, Gary of Geneva AL, Denise Horne and her husband, Robert, Sonia Ellis and her husband, Bobby, Lisa Baxter and her husband, Rex all of Lancaster, and Cheryl Fitch and her husband, Andy of Charleston; four sons, Tryon Keith Hoss Pate, Jr. of Geneva, AL, Mark Anthony Pate of Camp Lejeune, NC, Chris Harris and his wife, Tina of Oklahoma and Sam Harris of Florida; two brothers, Rufus Palmer Pate, Jr. and his wife, Gail of Lancaster and William L. Pate of Fort Lawn; a sister, Brenda Kegley and her husband, Ralph of Lancaster; and 12 grandchildren.

Mr. Pate was preceded in death by a two brothers, Thurman Pate and Bud Pate, and a sister, Shirley Stroud.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Pate is 3:00 pm Friday, February 12, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Douglas Pate.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 3:00 pm Friday at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster.
