It is with great sadness that the family of Travis Wayne Gay announces his sudden passing Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the age of 34. Travis will be forever remembered by his mother, Sherry (Robert) Shute Montanino, his father Curtis Wayne Gay, his brother Kevin (Valarie) Gay, his half-sister Anna Kay Diaz, his niece Gabrielle Feliberty, and his nephew Nikolas Gay. Travis will be sadly missed by his many cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and dear friends. Everyone will miss Travis very witty sense of humor and his loving heart that was always compassionate to those around him.

Travis Wayne Gay was born on March 5, 1982 in Charlotte, NC. His childhood was spent mostly in Albemarle, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. After completing high school in Myrtle Beach, Travis attended and graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering in 2006. After graduation, Travis moved to Grafton, MA where he worked for over 5 years as an operations research analyst at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Cambridge, MA. Due to a physical disability, Travis returned home to Myrtle Beach, SC in 2013. Throughout his life, Travis was an avid student of the Bible through the teachings of the R.B. Thieme Jr. Bible Ministries.

A funeral service in memory of Travis will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Burgess Funeral Home located at 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC.
