LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Tony Ray Smith, Sr., age 74, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025. He was born September 2, 1950, a son of the late Dee Vernual "D.V." Smith, Jr. and the late Alton Star Tyson Smith and was the husband of the late Deborah Karen Knight Smith. Tony was a 1968 graduate of Lancaster High School. He loved his family, Gamecocks sports, and in his younger days he enjoyed his motorcycle and fast cars.

Tony is survived by his son, Tony Ray Smith, Jr. (Allison) of Lancaster, SC; his four grandchildren, Heather Denkins (Tracy) of Lancaster, SC, Kelly Caskey of Lancaster, SC, Chelsea Davis (Preston) of Lancaster, SC, and Kendall Wood (Carter) of Monroe, GA; his three great grandchildren, Dallas and Kinsley Star Denkins of Lancaster, SC, and Olivia Davis of Lancaster, SC, and two more on the way; and his brother, Scott Smith (Lee) of Lexington, SC.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Knight Smith; his daughter, Pamela Michelle Caskey; and his parents, D.V. and Star Smith.

The Celebration of Life Service for Tony will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Tommy Howell.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm, at Burgess Funeral Home.
