HEATH SPRINGS, SC ~It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Tony Lynn Blackmon, age 70, who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Atrium Health-Monroe.

Born on June 22, 1955, in Lancaster, SC, Tony was the cherished son of the late John Ladson Blackmon and the late Nannie Frances Faulkenberry Blackmon. A dedicated professional, Tony enjoyed a long career and subsequent retirement from Duke Energy. Beyond his professional life, his soul was most at peace while tending to the land; he was an avid farmer who found his greatest joy in the simple beauty of nature, antique farming equipment and tools, classic cars, and the laughter of his grandchildren.

Tony’s legacy of love, laughter, and remarkable resourcefulness remains a guiding light for those he leaves behind. He is survived by his devoted son, Joshua “Josh” Blackmon, and his wife Melissa “Missy”; and his three granddaughters, Kirsten (Austin), Alysa (Blake), and Alexa; a great grandson, Brooks, who were the pride and joy of his life.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in the Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.  

He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
