LANCASTER, SCMr. Tommy Glenn Robinson, age 69, died Friday, November 4, 2016 at his home. He was born June 2, 1947 in Lancaster County, a son of the late M.D. Robinson and Jeaneal Mobley Robinson and was the husband of Regina Jeanne Timmons Robinson. Mr. Robinson retired from Chester Wood. He was a family man that loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and playing golf. Mr. Robinson served our great country in the United States Army and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Regina Jeanne Timmons Robinson; two sons, Tommy Glenn TJ Robinson, Jr. and his wife, Dana, and William Mark Robinson and special friend Jessica and their daughter, Vivian; two daughters, Angela R. Shirley and her husband, Johnny, and Gina R. Lucas and her husband Jerry; a brother, Roger Robinson; two sisters, Patricia Teen Eubanks and Betty Adams; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Tabitha, Michael, Lindsay, Jack, and Addison; and four great-grandchildren, Payton, Haylee, Madison, and Riley.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Sonny Robinson; and a sister, Margie Dutton.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Robinson will be 3:00 pm Sunday, November 6, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Sean Stroud. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park
The family will receive friends from 1:30 3:00 pm Sunday, November 6, at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway. The family suggest memorials be made to Levine's Cancer Institute, 1656 Riverchase Blvd., Suite 1400, Rock Hill, SC 29732 or Hospitality House of Charlotte, 1400 Scott Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203.
