LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Thomas "Tom" Edward Buhl, age 42, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025 at his home. He was born June 1, 1983, in Battle Creek, MI, a son of Thomas Edward Pennock and Kathleen "Kathy" Michelle Buhl-Zalesak. Tom graduated from York Technical College in 2021 with an associate's degree and then graduated from Western Governors University with a bachelor's degree. Following graduation, Tom returned to York Technical College to be employed in the IT department for over three years. Tom was a loving father who enjoyed the outdoors, target practice, gaming, and being on computers. He was a member of Camp Creek Masonic Lodge #317.

Tom is survived by his sons, Vincent Buhl, Gabriel Buhl, and Roger LaPorte; his parents, Thomas Pennock and Kathy Buhl-Zalesak; his three sisters, Christina Hatch (Ashley), Brenda Simpson (Jeremy), and Barbara Pennock; and a brother, Anthony Pennock.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kalob Boyer; and a brother, Karey Zalesak.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Tom will be 11:00 am Monday, August 25, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.
