LANCASTER, SC – Jeffrey Todd Knight (formerly Sims), age 54, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, April 16, 2022. He was born April 26, 1967, in Lancaster, son of Jesse Truman Knight (Donna) and Judy Deaton Wright and was the husband of Michelle Johnson Knight.

Todd graduated from Lancaster High in 1985 and attended Clemson University. He worked with Duracell for 25 years and in his final years was employed as a school bus driver for the Lancaster County School District, a job that he thoroughly enjoyed. He was known for his love of his Clemson Tigers, Redskins football, baseball, and college softball. He really enjoyed teaching young people to play ball. He enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and outside whether on the grill or griddle. He also loved to travel to see new places and stop anywhere along the way to explore, from Devils Tower in Wyoming to the Florida gulf beaches. Todd packed in every moment with doing what he loved. He had a way to make you laugh all the time. His naturally infectious personality touched everyone who knew him. He had an incredible wit about him as well. You had no chance against him in sports trivia.

Todd was so loved by all and will be forever in our hearts. His favorite line of all was "Orange in the end zone".

Todd is survived by his wife of 28 years, Michelle; his children Joseph, Megan, and Mia; his father Truman (Donna), his mother Judy, and his sisters, Joanie Gallagher (Kevin), Jill Sims (Ryan Michalski), Libby Threatt (Robbie), and Lynn Dabney (Alex); and a large extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Truman Knight Jr.

Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm Friday April 22 at All For One Church, 1737 Pageland Hwy, Lancaster, SC. A Celebration of Life will be private.
