LANCASTER, SC ~ Timothy "Tim" Sims, lovingly known as "Punkin", age 58, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at MUSC-Lancaster.  Tim was born February 15, 1963, in Lancaster a son of Dorothy Allen Sims and the late Ira "Smokey" Sims.  He was an avid Clemson and Andrew Jackson fan and a big race fan.  Tim was owner/operator of Punkin's Awards.  He was a very talented singer and sang for many weddings.  Tim was very loved and had many wonderful friends.

Tim is survived by his brother, Steve Sims (Rose); his sister, Janice "Tootie" Cole (Van Elliott); his niece, Sonya Payne (Eddy); three nephews, Casey McMackin, Ashley McMackin, and Stephen Sims (Staci); three great nephews, Jacob Sims, Christopher Sims, and Jonathan Sims (Greer Beckham); and a great niece, Emma Sims.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Ira "Smokey" Sims.

The Celebration of Life Service for Tim will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Fork Hill Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dale Walters.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church fellowship hall at Fork Hill Baptist Church.  For those who desire, memorials may be made to Burgess Funeral Home, PO Box 1743, Lancaster, SC 29721 to help with the expenses of Tim's funeral.
