LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Timothy "Tim" Carroll Lucas, age 63, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his home. He was born March 24, 1957, a son of the late James Olin "Bill" Lucas and Wilma Lucille Payne Lucas and was the husband of Beckie Wood Lucas.  Tim enjoyed dirt track racing, military history, air shows, working on cars and tractors and going to the mountains, especially Wheels thru Time in Maggie Valley.   He loved his family, friends, and cats.  Tim was a member of Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church.

Tim is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beckie Wood Lucas; a brother, James Daniel "Danny" Lucas (Shirley); two sisters, Joyce Newman (Calvin) of Rock Hill, and Nancy Taylor (Bobby) of Kershaw, SC; four nephews, Stephen Newman, Jeremy Newman, Phillip Newman, and Shawn Lucas; a niece, Wendy Doyle; a sister-in-law, Lishita "Lissie" Ross Wood; and special friends, Keith and Sharon Snipes and their children, Misty Greer, Shana Ratiff, and Travis Snipes.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Tim will be 5:00 pm Saturday, February 13, 2021 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Bart Miles. Due to the rising increase in COVID-19 infections, social distancing and masks are required.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00pm, one hour prior to the service,  at Burgess Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Levine Children's Hospital, 208 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203 or St. Jude's' Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
