LANCASTER, SC::: Mr. Thomas Wilson Martin, Sr., age 72, of 591 Community Lane, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at his home. He was born November 22, 1938 in Lincolnton, NC, the son of the late Shellie Lee Martin and Dicie Bivens Martin and was the husband of Janice Shuford Martin. Mr. Martin retired as Manager of Harris Teeter and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife Janice S. Martin of the home, 2 sons, Thomas Wilson Martin, Jr. of the home, and Danny Martin and his wife Bridget of Lancaster, 2 brothers, David Lee Martin and his wife Billie of Huntersville, NC and Gary Martin and his wife Susie of Lincolnton, NC, 2 sisters, Emma Sue Wise and her husband Bobby of Lincolnton, NC and Mary Alice Cook of Pasadena, TX, and a grandchild, Alex Lee Martin. Mr. Martin was preceded by 2 brothers, Franklin Dee Martin and Grady Gene Martin.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Martin will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at St. Luke United Methodist Church by Rev. Kyle Randle with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Family of Mr. Martin will receive friends after the service in the Welcome Center and suggests memorial contributions to St. Luke United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster SC 29720.
