LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Hilliard McGuirt, age 64, died November 28, 2010 at Fairfield Healthcare of Laurel Baye in Ridgeway, SC where he was a resident. He was born October 28, 1946 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Luther McGuirt and Louise Duncan McGuirt. Mr. McGuirt retired from Ambac in Columbia and was of the Methodist Faith. Mr. McGuirt is survived by a sister, Genia Bowers and her husband Gerald of Lancaster and a brother, Rev. Milton McGuirt and his wife Betty Moss of Pawley's Island. Mr. McGuirt was preceded in death by a sister, Annie June Pitmon. The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. McGuirt will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Salem Cemetery with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at St. Luke United Methodist Church by Rev. Kyle Randall and Rev. Milton McGuirt. The Family of Mr. McGuirt will receive friends immediately following the service in the Social Hall and the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
