INDIAN LAND, SC :::::::: Mr. Thomas Russell Harris III, age 21, died Saturday evening, August 11, 2012. He was born October 17, 1990 in Mecklenburg County, the son of Vickie Craven Harris and Thomas Russell "Pete" Harris Jr. Mr. Harris was a 2009 graduate of Indian Land High School and was on the Wrestling Team under the late Coach Mike Kersey. He attended the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, was an Eagle Scout with Troop 275 and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, PCA. Mr. Harris is survived by his parents, Vickie Craven Harris and Thomas Russell "Pete" Harris Jr. of the home, 3 sisters, Autumn Michelle McGuirt and her husband Daniel of Monroe, NC and their children; Cheyenne and David, Jean Marie Harris and Hannah Nicole Harris both of the home and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Howe Craven of Rock Hill.Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dewey Cleveland Craven and his paternal grandparents, Thomas Russell Harris, Sr. and Esther Alexander Harris.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Harris will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday afternoon, August 15, 2012 at Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dieter Paulson with burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Rock Hill. The Family of Mr. Harris will receive friends at Trinity Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 4421 Old Hickory Road, Lancaster SC immediately following the committal service at 4:30 pm and in lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Trinity Presbyterian Church, PO Box 276, Van Wyck, SC 29744.
