LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Thomas Ardrey "Tommy" Barr, age 66, of 1871 Shelton Street, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010. He was born March 25, 1943 in Mecklenburg County, the son of the late Thomas Jr Barr and Lila Virginia Hasty Barr. Mr. Barr retired from Carolina Industrial Mills as a Fabrication foreman and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Barr is survived by his adopted family, Susan and Roger Hardin and their children, Bobby Shane and Ryan, Robbie and Jeff Dahl and children, Marc and April Rape, and Sandra and David Haigler and their children, Jessica and Byron, two sons, William David Fielding of Gastonia, NC and Thomas Dustin Barr of Fort Mill, three daughters, Wendy Stanton and her husband Jack of Salisbury, NC, Audra Winston of Matthews, NC and Tiffany Leah Marie Barr of York County, a sister, Becky Bailey and her husband Dewey of Charlotte, and seven grandchildren, Noah and Chris Stanton, Kirsten Winston, Lillian, Autumn and Ethan Barr, and Alexis Helms. Mr. Barr was preceded in death by his special friend, Mary Clemmer.The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Barr will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home.The Family of Mr. Barr will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Saturday at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions to Hope of Lancaster, PO Box 166, Lancaster, SC 29721.
