LANCASTER, SC ~ Tesa Marie Gaskins, age 43, of Lancaster passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025, after a long and courageous battle. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her sons, her father, and family. Tesa enjoyed arts, crafts, painting, working in her yard, and her dad's farm in Mississippi. Her three sons were her greatest treasure.  She was a wonderful mom and loved her boys.  Tesa was a very spiritual lady, caring, helping others, and always happy.  Her happy place was at the beach, listening to the ocean, and watching dolphins and turtles.  Tesa was a strong and independent lady.   Her kindness, humor, and gentle strength left a lasting impact on all who had the blessing of knowing her. Tesa was a member at Hyde Park Baptist Church.

Tesa is survived by her three sons, Blaze Catoe, Cason Catoe, and Bricen Brown; her father, Terry Gaskins (Sandra); her stepfather, Gary Denton; her dearest friend, Emily Bergstrom; and a large extended family.

Tesa was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Hinson Gaskins; her paternal grandmother, Mildred Hinson; her paternal grandparents, William Joseph Gaskins, Jr. and Sarah Louise Gaskins; her aunt, Cathy Casey; and her uncle, Daniel Clyde Gaskins.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Tesa will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 8, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Sam Kennington.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Burgess Funeral Home and on Friday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the home of Stanley and Kim Catoe.

While her time on this earth was far too short, Tesa's legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
