LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Terry L. "Chris" Stogner, age 44, of 3000 Oakland Drive, died October 1, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1966 in Chesterfield County, the son of the late Marvin Joe Adams and Lottie "Kitty" Sarah Stogner. Mr. Stogner was a retired Deputy Sheriff with Lancaster County Sheriff's Department, was a Mason with Camp Creek Masonic Lodge #398, a Driver for Lancaster Tours, owned Terry's Lawn Care, worked part-time for Carolina Christian Academy, had served as a substitute teacher for Buford Schools and was a member of Union Baptist Church. Mr. Stogner is survived by his brother, Mark Wayne Stogner and his wife Mary, 3 nieces, Taylor, Haley and Hannah Stogner, 3 aunts, Evelyn Hodge and her husband Johnny, Nancy Howard and her husband Floyd, and Polly Gordon and her husband Willie all of Lancaster, and an uncle, John Stogner and his wife Trish of Kershaw.Mr. Stogner was preceded by his maternal grandparents, Lewis P. and Maybelle Stogner of Lancaster. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Stogner will be 4:00 pm, Monday, October 4, 2010 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Jackie Jenkins and Rev. Bill Morgan with burial to follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family of Mr. Stogner will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Union Baptist Church, 5003 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
