LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Terry Lynn Self, Sr., age 60, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at home.  He was born January 28, 1959 in Lancaster, a son of the late Clyde William Self, Sr. and Ivy Delois Tucker Adams. Mr. Self was employed at Springs Industries as a special projects manager.  He enjoyed collecting antiques for his grandchildren, eating Zagnut candy bars and loved going to the mountains.  His children and grandchildren meant everything to him, and he loved them dearly.  Mr. Self had a big heart and would help anyone.  He enjoyed playing in mud holes and had a contagious laugh.  Mr. Self was a member of Destiny Bible Church.

Mr. Self is survived by his son, Terry Self, Jr. (Ana) of Gaston, SC; a daughter, Melinda Galmish (John) of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Charity Ryanna Galmish, Jayda Nicole Galmish, Luke Japheth Self-Vazquez, and Eli' Merari Self-Vazquez; his brother, Clyde William Self, Jr. (Pamela) of Lancaster; two sisters, Donna Sue Stokes (William Stanley) and Cynthia Darlene Robinson (Wayne), both of Lancaster; a step-father, Clarence Stewart Adams of Lancaster; and a very special friend, Judy Harris of Rock Hill, SC, her children, Timmy, Fatboy (Stacy), and Gala and her grandchildren, Nathan and Little Timmy.

Mr. Self was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Charity Renee Self.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Self will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Destiny Bible Church officiated by Pastor Stephen Braswell.

The family will have a drop in to receive friends from 12:00 –8:00 pm Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the home of Mr. Billy Self, 2999 Pageland Hwy, Lancaster, SC and suggest memorial contributions be made to Destiny Bible Church, 2422 Flat Creek Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
