LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Terry Lee Barrett, age 69, of Lancaster, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Born on July 22, 1956, Terry spent most of his life in and around Lancaster.

Terry was the beloved son of the late Helen Phillips Barrett and Paige C. Barrett. He was predeceased by his siblings Mary Diane Baker, Daphne Jenkins, Bill Barrett, Darlene Craig, Mike Barrett, George Barrett, and Gary Neal Barrett. Despite these, and the loss of many other dear friends and relatives, Terry found strength and joy in the enduring love of his surviving family members: his sister Deb White; his daughter Jessica Price (Mark); and his cherished grandchildren Madison Barrett, Jackson Price, and Carson Price along with many nieces and nephews.

A man of simple pleasures and deep connections, Terry lived a modest life surrounded by family and friends who meant the world to him. He had a passion for fishing that was well-known to all who knew him. Whether casting a line at a nearby lake or enjoying the quiet serenity of a country pond, fishing brought him peace and happiness throughout his life.

Terry’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May his legacy of warmth and simplicity bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, officiated by Preacher Roger Anders.
