IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Teresa
Broome
July 19, 1971 – September 22, 2021
INDIAN LAND, SC ~ Mrs. Teresa Ann Rhyne Broome, age 50, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Atrium Health-Pineville. She was born July 19, 1971 in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of the late Walter Max Rhyne, Jr. and Margaret Ann Milton Rhyne and was the wife of Dustin "Dusty" Broome. Teresa enjoyed traveling with her family and especially loved the mountains. Teresa was a member of Sisk Memorial Baptist Church in Fort Mill.
Teresa wanted nothing more than to be a mom. That was her dream job. This was clear from her actions, as she became a mother to so many people no matter their relation to her. There are a lot of people in this world that knew her as "Mama Tee". She became a stepmother to two young children when she was just a child herself. She became pregnant and was able to have her own children. She was "Mama Bear", she protected her children from anything that was in the way of their progress or safety. As her son Matt says "I couldn't tell you how many times she went to the school to defend her kids. Enough times that the office ladies knew exactly who they were dealing with whenever she walked through the doors". Teresa loved people. She loved watching people on the street, loved talking to people, and loved to listen to what they had to say. She loved to help people and give advice when she could.
Teresa is survived by her husband of 12 years, Dustin "Dusty" Broome; two sons, Matt Broome and Craig Cook; a daughter, Heather Cook; a brother, Robert "Bobby" Rhyne and his wife, Vickie of Lake Wylie; mother and father-in-law, Tony and Marie Broome; brother-in-law, Michael Broome and his wife Leigh Ann; and two adoptive children, Ally and Katie.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Milton Rhyne and Walter Rhyne, Jr.; stepfather, David "Buzz" Fisher.
