IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tammy
Gaskin
July 20, 1970 – August 4, 2023
LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Tammy Lynn Hendrick Gaskin, age 53 years young, went to be with her Lord August 4, 2023. She was born July 20, 1970, in Charlotte, NC where she lived for a few short years with her family. Tammy's dad and mom relocated their home to Indian Land, Lancaster County SC with her brother and sister. Tammy attended school in Indian Land where she then graduated high school in 1988. Tammy married and met her husband of 33 years, Mike Gaskin of Charlotte, NC on March 24, 1990.
Tammy was the wonderful mom of two sons, Dalton Gaskin and Drew Gaskin, which she was so very proud of and always made it her priority to be involved in both of their lives from birth until her passing.
Tammy was the daughter of Tommy Hendrick and Ann Hendrick of Indian Land, SC and in Tammy's heart her dad and mom could do no wrong. She had one brother, Wayne Hendrick and one sister, Cathy Hendrick, which she loved with all her heart. Tammy had two granddaughters, Lola Mae and Daisy James, the daughters of Dalton and Katlen Gaskin.
Tammy's dream was to be a grandmother (Gigi), and her grand babies were the sole apple of her eye, the energy and heartbeat that kept her going, as well as the main reason for the biggest smile on her face that never went away with the suttle mention of their names. She loved her family with the deepest love and care. Tammy made it her responsibility to make sure her family was taken care of even ahead of her own needs. She was always a positive and happy spirit, never looking for the bad in her life's journey. Tammy never had any complaints about the long fight with pain and discomfort from her medical condition.
Tammy also loved all her friends she met along her life journey. Her smile was unforgettable, her love was undeniable, her personality was as bright as the sun in the sky. She loved the beach, family time vacations, the seasons changing, her bird feeders, baking during holidays, and ice cream.
Tammy's favorite saying was "in a perfect world dessert would come first".
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at her parent's home. No date or time has been set.
