LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Sybil Ford Gowan, age 80, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at her home.  She was born May 2, 1939 in Spartanburg, SC, the daughter of the late Roy Lee Ford and Clara Bradley Ford and was the wife of Donald "Don" Richard Gowan.  She enjoyed reading.  Mrs. Gowan loved her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Gowan is survived by her husband of 63 years, Don Gowan; two sons, Stacey Gowan and Sean Gowan; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Gowan; two grandchildren, Brandi Hipp (Zach) and Tyler Gowan (Jenna); and one great grandchild, Taelor Gowan.

Mrs. Gowan was preceded in death by a son, Rick Gowan; her parents; and a sister, Betty Ford.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Gowan will be 2:00 pm Monday, July 1, 2019 at Holston Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Inman, SC.
