FORT LAWN, SC ~ Mrs. Susan Dorman Lowery, age 66, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024. She was born February 11, 1958, in Lancaster, daughter of the late John Copeland Dorman and the late Loyree Rhodus Dorman and was the wife of the late Dwight Courtney Lowery. Mrs. Lowery loved her church, her children and grandchildren, and her animals. She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lowery is survived by her daughter, Alison Gaston (Eric); her stepson, Justin Lowery (Audrey); her grandchildren, Lauren Gaston, Hannah Gaston, Gavin Lowery, and Jaxon Lowery; and her fur babies, Isabelle and Luna.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Lowery; and her parents, John and Loyree Dorman; and her very close cousin, Nancy Cannon.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Lowery will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Tim Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to Lancaster SPCA, PO Box 3042, Lancaster, SC 29721 or Immanuel Baptist Church, 1152 Great Falls Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
