LANCASTER, SC~ Mrs. Susan "Susie" Clawson Harrison, age 47, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 31, 2020.  She was born April 20, 1973 in Charlotte, NC, a daughter of Coy Lee Clawson and Sue Caskey Clawson and was the wife of "the" Terry Ronald Harrison, Jr.  Susie loved the beach, flower gardening, cooking, and shopping.  Her true joy in life came from being a wife and mother.  She found great balance with being a mom and a best friend. Susie was a comforter, made everyone feel good, yet had a great sense of sarcasm and quick wit. She also enjoyed being around children, especially her grandson, Sullivan and Emerie. Susie had two fur babies, "Thomas the Tank" and "Lexi" that will greatly miss her.  Susie was a member at Taylors Grove Baptist Church.

Susie is survived by her husband of 31 years, Terry Harrison; a daughter, Ashley Pressley (Justin); a son, Austin Harrison; a grandson, Sullivan Pressley; her parents, Coy and Sue Clawson; a sister, Tia Bowers (Ken); her mother-in-law, Gwen Mosley; two nieces, Ravene and Savannah; and a large extended family.

Susie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Paris and Sudie Caskey; and paternal grandparents, Harold and Mary Lee Clawson.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Susie will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Waxhaw Baptist Church Cemetery, 8213 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Rd, Waxhaw, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations may be made in Susie's name to Waxhaw Baptist Church, 8213 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Rd., Waxhaw, NC 28173.
